Thanksgiving in LA: Local Businesses to Shop for the Holiday
It’s almost turkey time, and perhaps it’s 2020 (or perhaps it happens every year), but it seems to be sneaking up rather quickly. Even though it probably looks a bit different this year (social distance style), we still want to do it up right.
In case you’re like us, and haven’t quite finished preparations for Thursday, we’ve got a complete guide for your Thanksgiving needs. All of which are local businesses so we can keep the community support going.
Four Cafe for food
If you haven’t yet ordered your food, and don’t want to spend the day cooking (we don’t blame you, it’s been quite a year), Four Cafe has an awesome selection of starters, entrées, accompaniments, and desserts. You can order a la carte, or mix and match for your ideal menu. Each dish serves 4-6 and they will even deconstruct and send to 4 different houses for those who are celebrating Thanksgiving together but apart!
Bernadette’s for wine
They have a unique and delightful selection of wine and beer. Perfect to stock up for Thanksgiving and the holiday weekend. Check out their website for hours they’re available for pickup, and to order online.
+COOP for linens and table decor (+ any kitchen utensils you may need)
This place has a well curated selection of home decor and accessories. You can find an aesthetically pleasing version of the most basic utensil that will elevate your dinner table or kitchen setup. Plus, they have Thanksgiving pies (apple & pumpkin) for pickup, along with your order. It should come as no surprise that the founder, Jenna Cooper, is a real estate agent, herself.
Gilly Flowers for florals
Gilly’s has a bunch of different options (sizes, colors, designs) to dress up your holiday table or any other space in your home. The dry arrangements feel especially unique and fitting for the fall. They even have single stems available for walk-in purchase, in case you wait until the last minute (been there, done that).
Salvage Maria to stay warm
Salvage Maria has the perfect pillows and blankets to keep warm when the sun goes down, it gets a bit cooler and you’re ready to dive into another bottle of wine – perhaps by the fire? (safety first). The textiles are sourced from Mexico and the materials are hand woven and feel extra special.
Cycling Pigeon for Friday’s workout
We mustn’t forget how we’re going to bounce back after a full day of eats. Cycling Pigeon is our favorite spot to turn up. They have outdoor spin and yoga classes (all socially distanced) and you can signup online now. See ya there!
